2006-09-19 Climbing @ Klättercentret

Tuesday night's climbing session at Klättercentret was a lot of fun. Daniela showed me this route of yellow-colored holds.

After watching her finish the route, I tried it. It's rated 7B, beyond my abilities. I got past the big yellow hold, but I couldn't go much farther. As you can se, she made it all the way up.

After climbing the walls for a while, I tried a few problems on the bouldering walls.

This one is fun. It starts on the left side, moves up along the edge, and then traverses across to the right.

2006-09-14 Thursday @ Klättercentret

Paula's sister Boel was in top form. Go girl!

“The next hold is where?

“No pictures!”

I climbed a nice and challenging route of red holds on the left side of the tall wall.

It's near the limit of what I can do, so it's not easy, but still fun.

Matt on the other hand can climb routes several grades more difficult. Go Matt!

Lisa tried a different route of red holds that I haven't tried yet. It looks quite difficult.

Wait a minute. That one isn't red! :)

“It's too far”

If at first you don't succeed,

Try, try again!

I like the shadows in these photos — they help to give a sense of depth. The light is provided by spotlights to the right.

Lisa tries the notorious route of orange holds.

Of course, I had to try it too.

It's tricky and fun.

Hi, mom!

Go, Paula!

Spider-woman again. :)

Finally, a few bouldering shots of Paula and Anna.

This route of blue holds is quite easy, but it's a lot of fun.

Nice shoulder muscles, Anna! :)

The only slightly tricky part for me is getting both hands on the big blue hold. Once I have that, the rest is a cinch.

Thanks to the folks at Klättercentret for putting together so many good new problems on the bouldering walls!
